Install LED Ballast bypass Fluorescent Replacements The plastic cover over the old tubes removed. These are 48" T8 tubes. These tubes get 120v power on pins on both ends of the tube.

In this case the romex power feed should have extended into the metal fixture. Disconnect the power wires from the ballast. The white wire is neutral and a black or colored wire such as red will be the hot. Then cut the wires off the ballast close to the ballast.
Install LED Ballast bypass Fluorescent Replacements The ballast with the wires cut off. Cut the wires close to the ballast because you may need the length for the next step.
Install LED Ballast bypass Fluorescent Replacements These tubes get 120v power on pins on both ends of the tube. Connect the 2 yellow wires to the neutral white power wire. If the wire won't reach you'll have to extend the wire by wire nutting a length of wire to the end of the white neutral.
Install LED Ballast bypass Fluorescent Replacements Connect the 2 blue and 2 red wires to the hot black /power wire. Once again you might have to extend the black wire. When I connected all the wires together I used a pliers to twist the thinner ballast wires together. Then I inserted the bundle of twisted ballast wires with the solid power wire into the wire nut and twisted the wire nut tight.
Install LED Ballast bypass Fluorescent Replacements Idealily, the power feed wire will be long enough to terminate in the metal fixture. Make sure the green ground is screwed to the metal fixture. The fixture came with 2 spring steel supports which I put under the bundles of wires to keep them from falling down.

Install LED Ballast bypass Fluorescent Replacements Replace the fixture cover and install the new tubes just like you install a standard fluorescent tube. Make sure the LED's are facing down.
Install LED Ballast bypass Fluorescent Replacements Turn on the lights to test them. The plastic diffuser over the old tubes goes back on.
Install LED Ballast bypass Fluorescent Replacements All done.
