Mount a dishwasher to a Granite Top

I cut an oak strip on the table saw to use as a 'nailer'. This will give me a surface to screw the dishwasher bracket into because you can't screw into granite. I painted 2 of the sides black so it doesn't stand out.

I lost one of the top brackets that came with the dishwasher so I fabricated another one from some sheet metal I had.

The washer is also leveled from front to back. I pushed it in so the front of the black seal covers the edge of the side cabinets.

I had a tube of Loctite PL530 Mirror, Marble and Granite Glue. Run a bead of the glue along the nailer. Don't put a lot on or it will squish out and make a mess.

I positioned the nailer under the granite top and clamped it in place. I used pieces of scrap wood so the clamps wouldn't scratch the counter top on the top and dent the nailer on the bottom.

The glue dried over night. I screwed the dishwasher brackets into the nailer. Since I used oak I drilled a small pilot hole so I wouldn't split the wood. The dishwasher is now solid as a rock.
